I was really surprised when this popped off the needles in two days, there may be a knitting fairy somewhere around here. Although it's sure to take longer, the larger size is on my to do list since I can never get enough of a easy and gratifying pattern. It must be all the initial stockinette but everything just whizzed by and suddenly I was casting off.
Some patterns (and designers) make my head hurt but Ysolda really makes things simple, charts and a written pattern. The attention to detail in all her patterns is wonderful and makes my inner knitter happy. I never thought I'd knit a stuffed toy but I'm starting to think about it, maybe Elijah?
Someone on Ravelry recently sent me a message pointing out my repeated use of the same yarns and designers I'm not sure if they didn't like it or thought I might not have noticed. Either way it was funny but made me think for a bit. The yarn mostly has to do with ordering on-line and needing to know what I'll get but designers get my loyalty for other reasons. Maybe a pattern will catch my eye but it's ease of use that makes me stay. This tendancy to stick with a designer or a yarn might be a bad thing for some people but I like my rut and plan on staying in it for a while. Do you play favorites?
just in case...
