I’m going home!! For the amount of excitement involved on my part you’d think I was going home today but not till June 21.
To maximize my time home I’m driving to Grande Prairie after my midnight shift. I know that it’s odd to drive for 2 hours to get to an airport in another province when you work at one everyday but hey I’m crazy. Also my hateon for Air Canada ($500 more and flying in a different direction) means that I’ll drive to get to West Jet. Home means lots of good things; family, church, shopping (Walmart has been over done) and YARN.
For the last while I’ve been ordering wool off the web, everything’s been great but I want to touch before I buy. The stash is non existent at this point, everything has a project on the go and the knitter in me is getting the shakes. What will I do if I finish everything? A few days ago I ordered a kit from www.bellaknitting.com for a felted clutch just in case I do run out but I’m not getting anything else. No I’m not crazy just using all my self control to save my budget for a holiday yarn spree.
A scarf to go along with Odessa is on the needles, but 1x1 ribbing is nothing special. I thought long and hard about what to knit to go along with the hat but in the end simple seemed to be better. It will be nice and warm, good for winter in North Bay. On the knitting front things have been moving along but nothing is worth a photo shoot. So as my eye candy for today I present the view from the top of the Taylor hill on my way home from work. Driving down into my valley is lovely.
