I'd put the sweater in the corner for a while, about a month to be honest, but I pulled it out today to figure out exactly where I stood. Recounting all the stitches seemed like a big pain since I was sure that ripping was going to follow but I did it any way. I'm not sure if my results are good or bad since the stitch count is exactly what it was supposed to be. For a whole month I didn't work on the bloody thing and there was no reason.
As a break from the stitch dropping I knit a swatch for my Hexacomb Cardigan. The bamboo and wool is super soft and light. I know most people don't swatch but since I'm likely to run into problems no matter what I do it seems safer. Just imagining getting to the end of a sweater and realizing that the only problem was my gauge would make me cry.
The earrings are from Operatic at etsy. I love all of her jewelry, most of it is very simple but a little bit of colour without being flashy is much more me. All of the earrings are named after women in operas and I love it. These are named Isolde after one of my favourite characters in an opera or myth. I've always been intrigued by romances of the middle ages. Tristan and Isolde has all the trademarks of a good tragedy and is just maudlin enough keep me engaged.
I can wait to wear the cardigan with the earrings, blues and grey remind me of spring. First I'll have to finish the current sweater so back to knitting for me. Just a little be longer and I'll have dug myself out of this knitting hole.
