My sense of accomplishment is probably over the top but it was so exciting to cut my first weaving off the loom. As a first project I'm really happy with the scarf and think it'll be a great addition to my massive wrap collection. After the tension catastrophe, this almost seemed to weave itself.
Almost all my time was put in Saturday morning and early this morning I cut it off the loom while talking on the phone. Once I got back from church it took all of fifteen minuets to tie the knots for the fringe. Quick and easy, I can't ask for more.
I need to work on my tension and my edges especially. Those problems will probably solve themselves with practice just like knitting. Already I have a few more projects in mind and even a few requests for table runners and scarves. Now I just need to do some math and decided what to weave next. I think it will probably just be another plain weave scarf so I can keep practicing the basics.
